Born and raised on a farm near Grande Prairie, I have been pulling weeds since I could walk. I was raised with a deep interest in weeds, crops, and native plants that led me to pursue a BSc (Biology) and MSc (Plant Biology) from the University of Alberta. I am a published academic author and have a diverse background with 11 years of experience in plant identification through academic, government, non-profit, and industry roles, in addition to experience in crop research, molecular biology, aquatic invasive species, plant surveying, wetlands, restoration, project planning, and permitting.

 

I am known for my award-winning, highly enthusiastic presentation style that leans heavily on humor, color, and story telling. I can't wait to talk to you about plants!
